Timicosin is a semi synthetic macrolide antibiotic specially used for animals. It is strong against mycoplasma with similar antibacterial effect to tylosin. Sensitive gram-positive bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, erysipelas suis, Listeria, Clostridium putrescence, Clostridium anthracis, etc. Sensitive gram-negative bacteria including haemophilus, meningococcus, pasteurella, etc. The activity against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma of livestock and poultry was stronger than tylosin. 95% of Pasteurella haemolytica strains are sensitive to this product.
Pharmacokinetics:
Be absorbed quickly by oral administration, has strong tissue penetration and large distribution volume (>2L/kg). The concentration in lung and milk are high, the half life can reach 1-2 days, effective blood concentration can maintain a long time.
Drug interaction:
1. Can increase the dead of swine if be used together with Adrenalin.
2. It is not suitable to used with other Macrolides, Lincosamides and Chlormycetin because of the similar mechanism of action.
3.There will be antagonism if be used with β-lactam.
4. It has coordinate repression to Rhodococcus equi if used together with penicillin or rifampicin.

Usage and dosage: Oral administration in drinking water, for poultry, Oral administration in drinking water, for the product, 1000ml of it mix with 2000Lof drinking water, once a day, during 3 days.
